If you are having difficulties with your breast pump, you may only need to replace some of the breast pump parts – do not immediately assume that you must go out and buy a new pump. Some breast pump parts that can be replaced (and some additional breast pump parts you may want to consider getting) include:

· Tubing
· Pump body/breast flange (breast/nipple shield) – you may decide to replace a flange that is too small and uncomfortable.
· Milk storage bags
· Areola stimulator – fits inside a breast shield to provide increased stimulation to the areola area.
· Valve – a valve is necessary to create suction.
· Diaphragm – a barrier that separates the user from the suction source.
· Adapter cap

These are only a few of the possible breast pump parts you can get. Other breast pump parts you need depend greatly on the type of pump you have – electrical, manual, or battery-operated.
